I’m your girl if you’d like ‘fly on the wall’ style coverage, without endless posing or awkward interruptions. My relaxed approach leaves you free to spend time with your favourite people and celebrate being your brilliant selves.
Hi! I’m Melly.
A proper ‘country bumpkin’ who grew up in the best shire in England (Shropshire, obviously). A lover of seasides, cats, motorbikes, and wandering through French streets taking my job as a crêpe-enthusiast very seriously. Mum to two hilarious and brilliant boys named Isaac and Lucas, as well as to three rescue cats named Rupert (dog-sized), Basil (a psychologist’s field day), and Gilou (named after the cop from the French TV show Spiral). An ex-secondary school English teacher, who loves writing stories that I’ll never finish, reading, and collecting dusty old books. My dream is to have a circular library inside a circular house. I live in the quaint and quirky town of New Mills in the High Peak, just a stone's throw from the beautiful scenery of the Peak District, and from the borders of Cheshire and Greater Manchester. I’m always up for a roadtrip, so I’ll travel anywhere to capture your wedding day!

Portrait session gift vouchers are the perfect way to treat someone you love, with something that they can keep forever.
Each voucher can be exchanged for a one hour portrait photography session in the outdoor location of their choice, at home, or in the Dark Peak studio in New Mills. They will receive a minimum of 35 final edited images to download and share from an online gallery. Images are at full resolution and watermark free.
